Our Team
Jason W. Whiteley
Founder and Managing Partner
Jason Whiteley founded Batson Prairie Capital in 2019. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Valka Industrial and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TriArch Industrial Group.
He was previously a partner in the Private Equity Group at DLA Piper in Houston, New York and Prague, and practiced private equity and energy transactions at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Kirkland & Ellis. A West Point graduate, he served as a U.S. Army officer, including in Baghdad, and holds a J.D. and an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
Scott Huyette
Partner
A Texas native based in Dallas, Scott graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1999 and served five years as an Infantry Officer, deploying to Afghanistan and Iraq four times with the 1st Ranger Battalion.
After earning his MBA at the University of Texas, he spent his career in direct investing, including the Industrials practice at The Carlyle Group, an industrial turnaround private equity firm, and venture capital and family office roles. As a Principal at ACE & Company, he evaluated more than 600 opportunities and executed more than 60 transactions.
Ali Burns
Director of Portfolio Operations
Ali oversees operations across Batson Prairie Capital's portfolio companies. She previously served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Whiteley Infrastructure Group.
